Trips

The club has recently introduced regular monthly day trips to local sites around the Bendigo region.  In addition to these trips, we hold annual trips to Robe/Beachport, South Australia, snow trips and high country trips along with other trips across the state.

Throughout the year we run longer interstate trips and over the past couple of years we have visited places such as Cape York, Canning Stock Route, Flinders Ranges and Googs Track.  Check out some of our photos here.

In the future, the club would like to hold more inter-club trips as this is a great way to share four wheel driving and camping experiences.

We encourage new members to participate in as many trips as they can to build on their skills and knowledge from the driver training course as well as build on new friendships.  We also encourage members to lead trips to bring in new experiences and places to visit.

You can find some helpful information on trip planning and leading here.

Subject to a Trip Leaders approval,  the Club permits members to bring along their dog on trips and events.  The dog must always be on a lead and under the control of the owner and not be a nuisance to other members. Of course, dogs are not allowed if the trip or event is going to National Parks and other areas that do not permit pets by law.

Visitors

Visitors participating in a trip that are not financial members of Bendigo Four Wheel Drive Club are not covered under the clubs personal and public liability insurance.

As a requirement of participation, visitors are required to pay an insurance fee of $25 per family or $15 per person (if not a family member) and complete Visitor and Personal Details forms prior to the commencement of a trip. This fee entitles visitors to attend 2 club trips per financial year before being asked to join as a fully paid member.

Visitors who are a member of another Victorian Four Wheel Drive Association affiliated club do not have to pay the insurance fee but are required to complete the Visitors and Personal Details forms and show their club membership card to the Trip Leader.

Temporary visitor forms can be completed electronically and emailed, or  downloaded and printed here.

Temporary visitor forms (affiliated FWDV members only) can be completed electronically and emailed, or downloaded and printed here.

Personal details form must also be filled out by all trip participants and can be completed electronically and emailed, or  downloaded and printed here.
