The joining fee contributes to the following:-

  1. Accredited Driver Training.
  2. Name badges.
  3. Vehicle stickers (club and FWDV).
  4. Copy of the Incorporation Rules and Bylaws..
  5. Access to club information, knowledge sharing and online resources.
  6. Insurance through Four Wheel Drive Victoria.

Belonging to a four wheel drive club gives you the opportunity to meet and travel with people who have the same interests as yourself. It's a great way to meet new friends and traveling companions. Some of the other benefits include;

  • Participating in club trips safely to remote or isolated areas in a responsible manner, learning new tips and techniques as you go.
  • Increased awareness of correct four-wheel driving techniques with driver education navigation, trip planning and other courses like chainsaw operation and first aid.
  • Accessing the collective 4WD and camping knowledge of other Club members.
  • Gain invaluable technical information on your vehicle and trip preparation tips including checklists, tips and techniques shared from other members.

In addition to meeting people who share a passion for four wheel driving and touring, club members also receive:

  • Regular club updates including trips reports as well as upcoming trips and events.
  • Membership of Four Wheel Drive Victoria including the Track Watch magazine (a publication produced by Four Wheel Drive Victoria)
  • Four wheel drive training courses, from beginner through to advanced level.
  • Access to Management Vehicle Only Tracks and Mt Skene Permit Scheme over the winter period.
  • Coverage under the Four Wheel Drive Association public liability and personal accident insurance policy.

Our club now meets just four times a year, with gatherings held across the Bendigo and Central Victorian region. These meetings may be a dinner somewhere local or further afield and sometimes incorporate a camping weekend as well.  It’s the perfect way to stay connected without adding extra pressure to your schedule.
